The Parable was initially built for the local establishment which became a local itself and empowered it to better serve itself and its customers through software which would normally be financially out of reach.

I know first hand what it is like to manage and own a busy café, restaurant and function centre. I have seen first hand how technology within hospitality can increase profits, vastly reduce costs, improve customer service and give you the owner and or manager better control over your business.

However current reservation systems aren’t one of these, until now. Current systems have too many parameters, are cloud based and try to do too much, end result someone needs to be constantly adjusting the diary during service. Sometimes the network goes down and you don’t have access to your bookings at all.

As an everyday restauranteur I couldn’t justify the extreme price of switching to an electronic reservation diary, especially given that current diaries require a high amount of labour to actually manage the diary. I found that current products were not able to cope with the dynamic nature of my restaurant.

Hospitality has been in the family for 3 generations. I started off waitering at my parents function centre when I was just 11.5 years old, now at 40 I have definitely grown up in the industry. Since then I have co-owned establishments ranging from function centres, cafes, fine dining restaurants and your everyday local.

I love using old school service and techniques and then improving efficiency through technology which happens to be my second passion. It turns out technology and hospitality is great in a partnership, and I am always looking at ways to improve and stay ahead of my competitors.
